Can I try Dr. DWG Library 6.0 before I buy it?
Yes, a trial version of Dr. DWG Library 6.0 is now available.

Why should I register my product?

How can I report a bug in the Dr. DWG applications?
Please submit bug reports through our Bug Report online form. Our software engineers review these reports and do their best to address these requests in the next product release cycle.

Can I redistribute Dr. DWG Library 6.0 to other users?
No!. Redistributing Dr. DWG Library 6.0 is illegal. You can load Dr. DWG Library 6.0 on as many PC's as you desire, but remember a separate license fee is payable for each PC. Please refer to the Dr. DWG Product Price Guide.



What is Library?
Library is a Windows DLL (Dynamic Link Library) which exposes a set of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to read write and view CAD data.

How is Library different from other Dr. DWG Products?
Among Dr. DWG products, Library bears the capability to read and write CAD data into a CAD file. Hence apart from being able to develop a viewer, Library APIs can be used to create new drawing files. Also user can make changes to dwg/dxf files without the help of AutoCAD, which is the native drawing software.

Can I export/import dwg file to upper/lower versions?
This feature is not currently supported in Dr. DWG Library version 5.5. As of now user can save only as the corresponding version. For eg. AutoCAD rel 14 file after making changes should be saved as R14 File itself.

How can I use Dr. DWG Library in Visual Basic?
For using in Visual Basic, Dr. DWG support team provides a setup which can be used for development in Visual Basic environment. The set up which has been put for download is primarily intended for Visual C++ Programmers.

Are Library Sample Applications available?
Yes, a full-fledged sample illustrating most of the commonly used APIs is included with the setup.

What does Read Library do?
Read Library contains only Read APIs. User can read the CAD data but cannot save/view them as dwg/dxf files.

What does Read Write Library do?
Read Write Library contains a set of APIs which can be used for reading AutoCAD dwg/dxf files and can be saved as AutoCAD files of the same version. These files can be opened in AutoCAD or any AutoCAD viewer.

What does Read View Library do?
Read View Library contains a set of APIs which can be used for reading and displaying AutoCAD drawing files in other applications.
