Yes, deServe can be accessed from laptop and desktop systems. deServe supports mobility via WAN (wide area network) and across the Internet. Users will have everything available through a web browser so that they can access projects and associated data anytime, anywhere without the need to install.

How is deServe packaged?
deServe is packaged with a viewer from the Dr. DWG product suite. This enables the deServe to support CAD files along with several other file formats.

Which file-formats and applications does deServe support?
deServe can be interfaced with editors and viewers of most office documents. For example, deServe supports MS Office, Adobe Acrobat among others. However, the necessary software must be installed on the client machine. To interface with MSOffice, a version of MSOffice must be installed on the client machine or the necessary plugins must be installed in the version of Internet Explorer used. deServe supports over 50 file formats including .doc, .xls, .ppt, .bmp, .pdf etc.

How much training is needed to use deServe?
No formal training is required to use deServe . deServe uses a friendly graphical interfaces that allow users to easily navigate through drawings and projects. All that deServe requires is a basic knowledge of browsing file and directory operations.

How will deServe be installed?
deServe has to be installed only on the server; all that the client machine will need is a connection to the web to use deServe or just a network connection if it's used internally in the company. Install Shield is used to install deServe . The setup program configures the IIS server and users can start working immediately.
