How is LightBox different from LiteView?
LightBox has the unique feature of comparing and auditing drawings.
What is meant by “Auditing a drawing”?
Auditing means comparing a set of drawing against one master drawing that is preset under preferences. For Auditing only the blocks present in the drawings are taken into account.
What is meant by “comparing drawings”?
In Comparison two drawings of similar version are involved. For eg. a copy of a drawing is made and changes are made in the copy, the comparison is meaningful and effective. When two drawings are compared, entities are taken into account.
What does the Audit report contain?
Audit report contains the
- List of blocks
- List of layers in the drawing, which is audited
- Comparison result for Layer settings and system variables
- Report for Integrity check for Block reference
Can I print out Comparison Window?
Yes, You can print out the comparison window. Hence you can record the changes on paper.
Iover networks it required that the files I am comparing/auditing needs to be in the same directory?
Not Required. The files can be spread over directories, drives or even over network.s it required that the files I am comparing/auditing needs to be in the same directory.
Can I redline on the comparison window?
Yes. User can redline, create named views etc on comparison window, but temporarily. For permanent records of such redlines and namedviews, they have to be printed out.
Can I save Comparison window?
No, Saving of comparison result as.dwg or as any raster format is not supported in this version.
Can 2004 drawings be audited and compared?
Yes, 2004 drawings can be audited as well as compared.
