Pleasanton, CA, Aug, 2005: Dr. DWG Solution Center announced the launch of Sift – the ifilter for DWG files. Dr. DWG Sift is yet another pioneering tool from Dr. DWG Solution Center - a division of California Software Labs (CSWL Inc.) and a leading provider of CAD viewing and mark-up solution.

Dr. DWG Sift understands DWG file format and can extract the text or any attribute properties from the content of the file and creates a master index of these information. It also provides an easy to use interface through which the user can query the index to find occurrences of the requested text in the filtered files.

Using Sift, AutoCAD users can now search the drawings based on the original text and properties used in the drawings. “Dr. DWG has always-developed tool that added value to the AutoCAD users. Sift replaces the need and dependency on external key words in the archival system - to drill down to the required drawing.
